International airport "Nursultan Nazarbayev" - the main airport of the city Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the largest airports in Kazakhstan, takes the second place in the country in domestic air transportation.

International airport "Nursultan Nazarbayev" - extracurricular, suitable for the operation of all types of aircraft without limitation. The airport has a runway with asphalt-reinforced concrete pavement with a length of 3 kilometers 500 meters. Runway classification number (PCN) 79/F/C/X/T. The modern ILS CAT III A light-signaling system allows aircraft to land on the runway with horizontal visibility of up to 200 meters and more, and vertical - 15.

The airport serves 20 airlines operating regular passenger flights related to the countries of near and far abroad: Air Astana, SCAT Airlines, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways, FlyDubai and others. The main source of water supply for the city of Astana is the Astana reservoir with a volume of 291.9 million m3, which is 60.6% of the project volume (410.9 million m3). Water is supplied by a water intake with a capacity of 210 thousand m3 / day.

The total length of water supply networks is 1212 km.

The energy complex is represented by energy sources of CHPP-1 (share in the generation of electric energy - 4.3%, heat - 27.2%) and CHPP-2 (95.7% of electric and 72.8% of thermal energy), the total available capacity of which is 371 MW (93.3% of the installed) and 2,363 Gcal (86.3% of the installed).

The total length of steam and heating networks is 602.4 km.

In terms of sectors of the economy, in the structure of heat energy consumers, social objects account for 32.8%, trade enterprises - 23.6%, construction - 17.4%, manufacturing - 10.2%, services - 10%, utilities - 6%.
