Autonomous status was assigned to the University in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 19, 2011 “On the status of“ Nazarbayev University ”,“ Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools ”and“ Nazarbayev Foundation ”.

Gumilyov Eurasian National University — higher education institution in Astana. Named in honor of the Russian scientist, historian and ethnologist Lev Gumilyov. ENU includes 28 scientific institutions (research institutes, laboratories, centers), 13 faculties, the Institute of Continuing Education and Continuing Education, the military department, cultural and educational centers of various states. The system of training specialists at the Eurasian National University is conducted in 3 levels of education: higher basic education (undergraduate), master's and doctoral programs. The University trains specialists in 65 specialties of undergraduate studies, 68 - graduate studies and 38 - doctoral studies.
