Astana hosted the NEXT 2023 International Summit

The NEXT Astana 2023 summit took place in Astana and was organized by the global platform for integrating industrial resources and transforming the NEXT Federation, the Chinese Economic Information Service of Xinhua News Agency, and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The summit became an important tool for discussing optimal paths for innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development. The event, held in both online and offline formats, was attended by more than 100 representatives from government bodies and the private sector.

In the rapidly changing environment of NEXT Astana 2023, emphasis was placed on the importance of scientific and technological progress and industrial transformation, which, combined with digital and "green" technologies, have become crucial for the development of the global economy. In this regard, investment cooperation with Chinese partners holds significant importance for accelerated development.

During the opening of the event, Tony Brown, Chairman of the NEXT Federation Council, and Sultan Kinzhakulov, Deputy Chairman of the Investments Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, addressed the participants with welcoming words. The speakers highlighted the importance of actively seeking ways to stimulate economic growth to reduce the impact of crises on the global economy.

The importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges was noted by Vice Minister of Trade and Integration, Kayrat Torebayev, and President of the Global Advisory Committee of the NEXT Federation, Hammam Riza, who invited participants to further expand their partnership.

Also speaking at the summit was Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST, Zhandos Temirgali, who discussed Kazakhstan's investment potential, government support measures, and the prospects of investment cooperation with China.

"The portfolio of Kazakhstani-Chinese investment projects currently consists of 52 projects totaling over $21 billion. Thanks to its strategic location, favorable investment climate, access to external markets, and natural resources, Kazakhstan has significant potential for creating new export-oriented productions, ensuring economic stability in our region," noted Zhandos Temirgali.

NEXT Astana 2023 demonstrated participants' commitment to creating a sustainable and flexible global economy through investment and innovation cooperation. The summit marked an important step towards achieving these goals, confirming the significance of dialogue and partnership in the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
